INDUSTRIAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE 

PHOTOMETALS – a division of PMA Industries is North America’s largest photochemical milling firm and is in search of an experienced, driven and energetic Industrial Sales Representative to further support its growth in the aerospace, automotive, medical, oil and gas, utilities and equipment manufacturing (OEM) industries.  Individuals with experience supporting technical sales in any or all of these industries may make you a successful candidate. Currently seeking candidates in the following markets: Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Pittsburg, Cleveland, and Atlanta.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying customer leads; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information; understanding technical quotations and capable of communicating with customers in a professional manner
  • Sales prospecting and lead generation for your territory by researching prospective client’s products, industry and company to better prepare for presentations and sales calls.
  • Use telephone, email, in-person or video conference meetings to remain engaged with prospective and existing customers
  • Work with in-house sales support team to manage leads, quotes and orders in the pipeline
  • Track and monitor sources of leads and incoming quotes to provide feedback to in-house sales support team to better support your efforts in identifying new lead opportunities

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Punch or drill holes
  • Corner radius parts
  • Sand and deburr
  • Apply adhesive using lamination equipment
  • Training provided to learn to program and operate a computerized sabre, and laser

Position Summary:

This individual is responsible for translating customer supplied files into functional, production-ready designs for manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review customer requirements for each new job with peers, and customer.
  • Draw, transform, and archive vector and bitmap files.
  • Provide proofs to customers for final approval.
  • Generate packaging art based on customer requirements.
  • Properly enter data in the appropriate spreadsheet.
  • Print and register two-sided film tooling.
  • Load and unload film into imagesetter.
  • Opaque film if necessary.
  • Update order log.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with graphics softwaresuch as CorelDraw and/or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficient in vector-based design for production.
  • High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Previous experience as a graphics or production designer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to prioritize and focus, in a dynamic team-oriented environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, understand the importance of deadlines, and be detail oriented. This candidate must also possess and advocate excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of team, but with limited supervision. This position is a great opportunity for a high caliber individual to continue their career growth, apply expertise and be involved in an ever-changing company.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload film into an AGFA imagesetter

Print and register two-sided film using double sided tape

Use film pen to cover scratches in the black area on the film (lines, scratches and general wear) and opaque film if necessary

Retrieve previously made films when necessary and archive once the job is complete

Perform general maintenance to the image setter

Evaluate files and work directly with graphics team to fix mistakes

Other duties as assigned
